Chicken & Mushroom pie

Serves 2 people

1pkt Short Crust Pastry
1 whole chicken breast
1 Large Onion
3 Cloves of Garlic
1 Vegetable Cube
1 Chicken Cube
1 Tin of cream
1 Glass of white wine
3 Potatoes
100Grms Mushrooms
1Egg

Slice the onion and garlic into small pieces and cook them in some oil. Then slice the mushrooms and add them to the onions & garlic, pour the glass of white wine and shred the 2 cubes and mix well, cook for 10 mins.

Slice the chicken breast and cook it in another pan in some oil. Once cooked add the tin of cream and mix everything  with the mushroom sauce, and set aside.

Peel and cut the potatoes into very small cubes and boil them until tender.

Open the pastry and set it on a non stick baking dish as a base( don't use it all u'll need more for the top). By now the potatoes should be ready, mix them with the chicken and mushroom & pour on the pastry, simply add the remaining pastry on top. And you're done.

To get that golden look on the pastry just beat an egg and use your kitchen brush to apply it on the pastry.

Set oven at 180 Degrees and cook for 1 hr.

Ps: Don't add any salt during cooking the 2 cubes will do the job :)

Valentine's Gifts for your Man !

Few months ago it was Christmas and we were struggling on which gift to buy to our better half !!......And yes soon it's Valentines day and you have to go trough the same hustle  again.

Here are some ideas.

Perfumes are a gift you can never go wrong with :)

For those PlayStation & Xbox addicts, here are some tips

Headset for the online games

Sony Key board

Colored consoles & finally the biggest investment of my life, for some piece and quite the Play Station head set.

All the below items can be bought from computer shops or Online :)

Then there are the PlayStation 3 & the Xbox Skins & Games, If you don't know which game to buy your loved one just get him a voucher and he can choose himself. For men this is like one of our shopping sprees :)

And if he's obsessed with his car,(which most of our men are!) you can buy him maybe a new stereo or maybe that alarm that  he's been talking about lately.

Jewelry mmmm this is something of taste. So i wouldn't go there if its your first Valentines and you're not sure of his taste yet :|.

This is one of my favorite....just buy a multi photo frame and print some photos you really cherish and you're done. It's a very original gift.

If you're wondering from where to buy these frames I've seen these at Gadget Sliema or JB Stores B'kara

Many of us think that men don't like roses, and maybe you're right but this is a very nice idea even if you just send him 1 single rose together with the gift you choose for your loved one. They are called the Speaking Roses and they are real roses with your own wording on it.

You can find them on Facebook-------------> Speaking Roses Malta

Hey and don't forget that special card! You can even Personalize it :) try this site they have really really nice stuff www.sayitmalta.com

Happy Valentines day to all of yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :)

Mini Shopping Haul

Hello Ladies!
So lately I have been busy with exams and studying which is boring boring boring! Last Wednesday I had my first exam and straight after the exam I decided I would reward myself for all my hard work *pats herself on the back*.
So straight after the exam I went to Elle's Accessories in Birkirkara. This shop is full of accessories, belts, shoes, bags, hair acessories....what's not to love?
I love their accessories which are so inexpensive but yet at the same time do not look cheap! I picked up a chunky bracelet. I love the colour and the fact that it is bold and will go with a lot of outfits.

I was on the look out for some stud earrings. I always seem to loose my stud earrings which makes me go MAD! I picked up these cute cute cute heart shaped earrings. I am in love! Haven't taken them off since!

The last thing I picked was a pink headband. It is so girly and I can't wait to get to wear this!....which of course will not be soon since I am locked at home with my books! But I can just imagine wearing this band with a hoarse tail or a bun or with my hair down.

Once I was done....I crossed the road and went to tal-Lira. I wanted to see if I could find something which would help me get my makeup brushes organised....couldn't find anything suitable but I managed to find a cute lantern for my bedroom. The best thing about it is that the flame coming from the candle is covered so it is safe!

I really needed this small break from studying and really like the stuff I got for less than €15!! Amazing huh!?!
Well that's it for now....I'm back to my books!
Later Ladies! :) x

Neon Trend

Yesss Yesss Yesss!!!!

I am so excited to bring to you the latest trend which I am loving so so much!

Colors...Bright colors....Neon colors!

For those of us who are adventerous when it comes to their wardrobe, I'm sure you're going to love it aswell.

For those who love wearing dark colors and can't bear the thought of wearing a bright neon skirt...all is not lost!...There are some cute options out there which will bring your outfits up to date but which are not over the top.

There is only one risk with this trend....the risk of overdoing it! What I would do is wear one item of color and let it be the focal point of the outfit, for example shoes!

Or this cute bag.....

For those who are bold and love to stand out have a look at this! I can really just picture this skirt with high high heels!

One other area where you can experiment with
color is makeup! Orange lipsticks are the rage at the moment and I can't wait to go buy one! The secret is to make sure it goes well with your complection. Don't forget that not every lip color will go with every complection, so just make sure its the right shade for you!

So ladies....this is all for now! Hope you enjoyed this and don't forget to click on 'Join this site' on the top right side of this page! :) x

Heat some drops of oil in a frying pan ( i bought a crepe pan) its easier to use,I bought it from JB stores :)

Bring some water to boil in a small pan and put the can of Nutella in it (banju marija)

Now depending on how big you pan is, Put enough scoops to cover the bottom of you pan,Don't put to much you are not doing PANCAKES you don't want them to be very thick.

Cook until it's golden then turn and cook from the other side.

When the Crepe is ready just spread NUTELLA all over mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

Now put the Defrosted Ground Beef together with the onions and Garlic and cook well.

Pour in the 2 cans of Tomato Pure together with the 4 table spoons of  tomato paste(kunserva) and 2 table spoons of sugar,1 teaspoon of Mixed Spices and a very very small pinch of Cinnamon .Finally add the 1 Glass of red wine & let it simmer for about 30 mins on low gas.

Preheat the oven at 180 Degrees

Now you will need a Dish a Medium sizes one.You will know its the right dish cause when you start placing the Lasagna Sheets only 2 horizontal and 1 diagonal will fit.

Now that your first layer of Lasagna Sheets is in place you can start pouring the sauce that you prepared earlier don't put alot of sauce,Pour some Cream on top of the Sauce Mozzarella & grated cheese , repeat this till your sauce is finished,Remember the top part has to be Sauce not Lasagna Sheets !!!!

Now before you pop your lovely Lasagna in the oven from the corners of you dish pour Milk ,you will know its enough ,when you see the milk mixing on the top layer of the Lasagna.

Now your Ready to put it in the oven....Bake for 25 to 30 mins

Try not to reheat it cause it wont look the same!!

Enjoy the good smell in your kitchen and let me know how it came :)

Wall Decals

Paintings.....who doesn't have at least one at home?

A modern or an old painting, a portrait....these will fill up any room and will add that finishing touch to any room. Some people might think that pictures and paintings are the only way to decorate the walls of your home...

A modern or an old painting, a portrait....these will fill up any room and will add that finishing touch to any room. Some people might think that pictures and paintings are the only way to decorate the walls of your home...

Well think again....because there is another amazing way how to decorate the walls (and not only!) of your home...no nails and no silicone required I promise!

They are called WALL DECALS, they can be used anywhere in the house, all you need is a nice painted clean wall and a piece of cloth...

Wall decals are made of self adhesive removable Vinyl. They come with a paper backing and a clear transfer coating. They can be applied to any smooth surface such as walls, glass, furniture, appliances and more.

Your kids' room looks a bit empty ? You can add these to make it look more like a kids room, and the best thing about these decals is that, when your kids are older, you can just peel them off :))

Then there are some of them that you can even personalize like a name,or you can even choose the colors

Now you're thinking...Ok , for kids rooms they are nice but what about the rest of the rooms in my house?....Well ladies....think about it again!

 Ideas for your Living room

  Bedrooms

Not convinced yet !? I'm sure you're already thinking from where you're going to buy them and on which wall your going to apply them :).

Unfotunately, the only ones I found here in Malta is from ta Lira (butterflies pictures below) & they only had two different types.

The ones I have at home I bought them from Ebay. All you have to do is search for wall decals and enjoy looking for that special wall decal. Be ready to be spoilt for choice, because the options are truly endless! The best thing about shopping for wall decals on ebay?!...they fit in a large envelope so shipping will be very cheap!

The following are some wall decals which I have at home...hope you like them! :)

The Golden Globes PART 2

Welcome back Ladies for part 2! :)

Her name in Dianna Argon....hate the dress (I might have liked the dress had the top part been plain)...love the makeup though!

This is Julie Bowen looking amazing!! I'm not usually keen on ball gowns but this is just perfect...the shape, the color....those cute cute sleeves. I also find that her old school hairstyle compliments the rest of the outfit perfectly!

Emma Stone....nice dress...love the colour which complents her skin perfectly, also like the shoulders. I am unsure about the belt though! I would have kept it simple! A deep burgundy lipstick would have looked nice aswell in my opinion!

Tilda Swinton decided to channel Goku from Dragon Ball with a touch of Sailor Moon and she did so magnificintly! I don't like the shiny blazer...and I hate the colour!!

What's up with this color? Another celebrity who chose to go with powder blue and failed miserably. Apart from the dress Jodie Foster is looking younger then ever!

They look good...there's no denying that these two would look good no matter what! They're a couple made in beauty heaven....however....Brad needs to shave his beard...its the Golden Globes! He would have looked much more sharp had he shaved his beard. Angelina....is looking gorgeous....now I am not a big fan of that kind shiny material (which I presume is silk!) but that is just a personal preference of mine. Love the fact that she went with the bold red lip! ....*20 minutes later* WAIITTT I just noticed Brad has a cane!...mmmm....not a big fan! unless he had a limp or something!

Finally...the fashion police themselves! Kelly Osbourne & Giuliana Rancic! Kelly as much as I wish that grey hair becomes the rage (it would save me a lot of time at the hairdresser's), it just isn't flattering! Another thing which isn't flattering?...that dress you're wearing! You just lost a lot of wieght girl....show us your curves don't hide them! As for Giuliana....I like the dress because it is different but at the same time elegant! Can't wait to see what they have to say on the next Fashion Police about who wore what! Gotta love Joan Rivers!

Well Ladies, that's my take on this year's Golden Globes Awards and as all the previous years there has to be the good the bad and the ugly!

I hope you enjoyed reading this!
