You will make approx 10-12
Dough
550 grams Plain flour
11 grams of Dry yeast ( hmira)
70 grams Melted butter
210 ml Milk
75 grams sugar
2 eggs
Pinch of salt
Filling
200 grams of brown sugar
1 table spoon of grounded cinnamon
85grams of butter kept at room temperature
Egg wash
1 egg
2 table spoons of milk
Add together Flour, yeast, sugar, eggs, milk, salt & melted butter into the mixer(kenwood), ( If you don't have a mixer a hand mixer will do). Mix all the ingredients for 5 mins on low speed. Add another 2 tablespoons of flour to the bowl and scrape the dough from the hook.
(I used instant yeast the dough didn't rise, but when in the oven it worked wonders)
Sparkle some flour on the table and work the dough, add some more flour into the bowl return the dough into the bowl, cover and let it stay for an hour or till it's doubles in size.
While the dough is resting you can start preparing the filling. In a bowl mix the brown sugar, cinnamon & the butter room temperature. Use a spoon to mix every thing together.
Preheat oven 190 Degrees
When the dough is ready punch the air out of it. Sprinkle the table with flour and start working the dough roll it out to a 1/2cm thickness making sure that there is flour all the time so the dough wont stick to the table.
Now spread the filling you made earlier all over the dough that you just opened. Carefully roll the dough and cut it into slices about 3cm wide & place them on a baking tray cover them and let them set for 15 mins.
For the egg wash you simply mix an egg and 2 tablespoons of milk. Now brush each roll individually.
Bake for 10 to 15 mins
Remove from the baking tray and let them cool. They can be served cold but they are especially good warm with a scoop of ice cream. :)
